Senior Cardio/Strength

Description
A Low impact, full-body cardio and Strength class incorporating balance exercises.
Outcomes/Benefits
Improves cardiovascular function, muscular strength and endurance, improves flexibility and range of motion and better agility/balance/flexibility.
Ability level
Specially designed for seniors or those looking for a low impact exercise option. All exercises may be performed seated or standing.
Tips/Preparation
Be patient with yourself as you learn the techniques. Modifications will be provided.
Equipment Used
Various strengthening equipment such as dumbbells, balls, and resistance tubing, and a chair for seated exercise. – provided by WRF.
Attire
Comfortable, loose clothing and indoor gym shoes.
What to bring (optional)
A water bottle and towel.

SilverSneakers Circuit

Description
Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. 45-minute sessions available.
Outcomes/Benefits
Improves muscular strength and endurance, improves flexibility and range of movement, better agility/balance and weight loss through elevated calorie expenditure.
Ability level
Specially designed for seniors, but great for all ability levels. Low impact.
Tips/Preparation
Come warmed up; be patient with yourself as you learn the techniques.
Equipment Used
Hand-held weights, elastic tubing and SilverSneaker ball – provided by WRF. A chair will also be available, if needed.
Attire

Description
This class will help keep you safely on your feet through a variety of balance and movement exercises. 45-minute classes are available.
Outcomes/Benefits
SilverSneakers Stability® will improve your balance and strength. Movements focus on strengthening the ankle, knee and hip joints, while improving reaction time.
Ability level
Participants need to be able to stand for approximately 30 minutes at a time.
Tips/Preparation
Come prepared to challenge your balance and have fun.
Equipment Used
Chairs – provided by WRF.
Attire
Clean, closed toe indoor shoes.
