Anne continued running by participating in many local 5ks. After the birth of her first son, Anne discovered group fitness classes, and after a few times, Anne was HOOKED. She started attending BodyPump in 2004 and has been doing so ever since. Anne earned her certification as a BodyPump Instructor in 2008, now leading three classes a week. She then became certified in BodyFlow in 2012 leading 2 classes a week. In addition to these classes, she also leads a Group Cycling class on a rotating schedule. Anne's goal is to bring big energy and motivation to every class that she leads... even those days when it’s difficult to be inspired.
Since Anne also works in Member Services, she is able to greet and help all of the great members at Wild River.
Success Story
Anne didn’t start out with fitness as her first career choice, but things happily fell that direction. She is so thankful for the ability to inspire and personally touch everyone that attends her classes. A friend encouraged her to attend a fitness class and when she went she felt so welcomed. The encouragement and support Jessica received from the instructors, convinced her to attend other classes like group cycling.

"I have to admit I hated it at first, I remember the instructor saying you need to come a few more times before giving it up" Jessica explained. After a few times, she developed a strong love/hate relationship with the class and became certified in group cycling. "It is an amazing thing what the encouragement and support of instructors can do to a person."

Fitness Experience
Kelli has been a fitness instructor since 1993, starting out instructing dance and aerobics. Kelli’s actively involved in the Susan Komen Race for the Cure in Twin Cities and San Francisco, helping raise over $10,000 in the last 10 years. She currently specializes in Vinyasa Yoga and Stand-up Paddle Board Yoga.
Success Story
Kelli’s first venture into yoga was to rehabilitate an injury and unbalanced lifestyle. Yoga helped her learn how to breathe, discover trust in alignment and find strength in balance. “That next summer, yoga brought me to the water, which was a place that I feared. I basically flunked about every swim lesson as a child and was terrified of doing more than a mean doggy paddle.” Kelli explained. “Calling upon a newfound energy cultivated by yoga, I discovered calmness in practicing on SUP and learned to unlearn my fear in water.” Now, Kelli can’t get enough of floating on the water.
Kelli is a Social Media Practitioner in the Financial Industry by day, practices yoga daily and is a mom to two very active boys (9 and 14) every minute she can.

Success Story
Linda loves hearing the stories of her class participants that come to her with the success of their weight loss, decrease in their blood pressure and decrease of their clothes sizes. The most rewarding part for Linda as an instructor is hearing people say "I did it!" when they didn't think they could. Whether it's getting through that first class, trying a new exercise or completing their first race, its that transition of believing in themselves that's really the best part to witness.

I began as a substitute instructor for Silver Sneakers. After obtaining my NETA Group Exercise certification in 2013, I decided to take on a class of my own. I was very wary of teaching my own classes, but kept at it and now teach another class at WRF.
Success Story
My husband and I are charter members of the fitness center. From the tiny room in the basement of the old Riverbank building, to the basement of Hope Church and now to our new facility, we have followed. After taking my first group fitness class I have been hooked on the class atmosphere. Back in 2011 I mentioned to the then manager of WRF, if they had a need for another member services staff, I would be interested. Two weeks later I started work. As both an instructor and member services staff, I have witnessed so many success stories of our members.

NETA Group Exercise Instructor

Fitness Experience
Todd’s first competition that he remembers was an ice cream eating contest at 7 years old. The pride and feeling of accomplishment after winning, fueled his desire to compete throughout school and into his adult life. He has continued competing in 5K and 10K runs, half marathons, triathlons, and mud run races including the Tough Mudders. It is that joy of accomplishment – not the time on the clock – that motivated Todd to earn a Group Cycling and Group Exercise certificate. He enjoys helping others to reach their goals, overcome challenges and develop their own level of fitness.
Success Story
The most influential success story in Todd’s fitness background isn't even his story; it is the story of his wife's success. She decided to register for a 10K mud run without ever running that far previously, let alone a mud run. Todd’s ability to motivate others to accomplish goals, overcome challenges and develop their own level of fitness assisted his wife in completing the race and she proclaimed through hard work, anything can be accomplished. “This statement sums up the attitude needed in life,” Todd explained. “Fitness accomplishments can give people the boost and motivation to help them tackle many things in life and I’m glad to be a witness to that.”
